Job summary

Digital Monitoring Products, a Springfield-based innovator in electronic security, seeks a Controller who will build and scale the accounting organization. You’ll automate processes, strengthen controls, and lead the close, budgeting, and audits in a fast-growing environment.

You’ll partner with the CFO, develop talent, and drive strategic finance initiatives while delivering accurate financial reporting for both manufacturing operations and SaaS models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or CMA a plus but not required if experienced.
• 5 years' experience in public accounting or as Accounting Manager or Controller.
• Experience leading month-end close and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Experience in manufacturing, technology, SaaS, or other complex environments is desirable.
• Demonstrated success implementing process improvements or finance automation.
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Accounting team, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Senior Accounting staff.
• Build a scalable accounting organization to support long-term growth.
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process with continuous improvements.
• Partner with the CFO on strategic finance initiatives and planning.
• Drive automation and process improvements across the accounting function.
• Establish and improve internal controls, policies, and documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
• Support manufacturing operations and recurring SaaS business with reporting and insights.
• Lead annual budgeting and audits with internal departments and external vendors.
