You will supervise month-end close, ensure accurate reporting, manage vendor payments and tax filings, and drive cash flow optimization. This is an in-office role at our Herndon headquarters with competitive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field with at least 4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong background in accounts payable and payroll accounting.
• Experience with ADP accounting and payroll software.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience in government contracting is critical.
• Deltek/Costpoint timekeeping experience required.
• ADP Payroll Processing required.
• Government contracting experience

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting support and ensure timely reporting.
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, policies, and contracts.
• Support development and implementation of best practices for cash flow.
• Prepare and review vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Oversee month-end close with GL reconciliations.
• Manage payroll processing and wage garnishments.
• Coordinate tax filings and licenses with authorities.
• Assist audits and provide financial data as needed.
• Work in-office at headquarters in Herndon, VA
