Accountant

This position is 100 percent in-office at our corporate headquarters in Herndon, VA.

As the Accountant, you will actively work with both corporate departments and the government entities to provide day-to-day accounting support and ensure the timely delivery of services, data, and reporting. You will ensure compliance with accounting regulations, corporate policies and procedures, and contract requirements, and support the development and implementation of best practice policies and procedures to maximize cash flow and ensure accurate reporting of accounting transactions.

Minimum Qualifications

• ADP and Deltek Costpoint experience strongly preferred (high priority requirement). Candidates with hands-on experience in both payroll (ADP) and government contractor accounting systems (Costpoint) will be given immediate consideration.
• Minimum 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in Accounts Payable (AP), payroll, or general ledger accounting (4 years accepted in lieu of degree).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Accounts Payable and payroll processing, including contractor payments (1099s).
• Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations and supporting month-end close activities.
• Familiarity with government contracting (federal accounting, job costing, or project-based accounting) strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and tools including:
  • ADP (payroll processing and reporting)
  • Deltek Costpoint (timekeeping and accounting support)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Solid understanding of the full accounting cycle, basic financial reporting, and accounting controls.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to vendors, employees, and leadership.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $60,000-65,000 annually with benefits. Benefits include 401(k), health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, paid time off, training and professional development assistance.
