Job summary

TD SYNNEX North America is seeking an experienced field wireless engineer based in the Miami area. You will be the on-site lead for enterprise and warehouse wireless deployments, performing surveys and post-deployment validation while coordinating with contractors and IT teams.

Significant travel (40-60%) is required, with work in dynamic distribution environments. You bring 10–15 years in enterprise wireless, deep RF knowledge, and hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst Wireless and survey

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of enterprise wireless networking experience.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution centers, or industrial environments.
• Hands-on with Cisco Catalyst Wireless or equivalent.
• Proficient with site survey tools: Ekahau, iBwave, AirMagnet.
• Strong RF fundamentals: planning, power, antenna patterns, RSSI/SNR.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site wireless engineer for deployments, upgrades, and remediation projects globally.
• Conduct wireless site surveys, RF assessments, and post-deployment validation at TD SYNNEX facilities worldwide.
• Coordinate deployments with contractors, facilities teams, and IT staff.
• Troubleshoot RF interference, roaming failures, capacity problems, and coverage gaps.
• Deploy and configure access points, WLAN controllers, and wireless management platforms across vendor environments.
• Document site conditions, as-built configurations, and lessons learned to feed design standards.
• Coordinate with local IT teams and third-party cabling contractors on low voltage requirements.
• Support wireless security implementation: 802.1X, RADIUS, guest network segmentation.
