Job summary

Electric Power Systems is hiring a Field Technician II to inspect, test, and maintain high, medium, and low electrical power equipment. You will work with SF6 & vacuum breakers, pad mount and GSUs, grounding, instrument transformers, and various switches while following strict safety policies.

The role requires troubleshooting, reading schematics and one-line drawings, and reporting on tests and maintenance. Travel and overtime are possible; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic technology or military experience preferred.
• 2-4 years relevant industry experience.
• NETA II Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform entry-level testing of high, medium and low power equipment without direct supervision while coordinating with senior technicians.
• Consult manuals, schematics, and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and determine optimum equipment functioning.
• Prepare and maintain reports detailing tests, repairs and maintenance performed.
• Troubleshoot, repair, replace and clean equipment and components.
