Job summary

ECS Limited in El Paso, TX is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician to join our on-site team. You’ll perform field observations, testing, sampling, and inspections of soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placements under supervision.

You’ll collect data, draft field reports, and communicate with site contractors and project managers.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
2+ years of related field experience.
Must hold basic certifications and two advanced certifications.
OSHA 10 (preferred).
Able to lift 40–70 lbs multiple times a day; occasional 85 lbs.
Valid driver's license and transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

Field Activities: Observe, test, sample, and inspect materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, steel) on construction sites under supervision.
Testing Procedures: Conduct routine field tests using industry-standard methods and equipment.
Data Collection: Compute results, draft field reports, and document site observations.
Communication: Maintain daily contact with contractors, technicians, and project managers and report changes in site conditions.
Training and Development: Learn ECS methodologies and pursue certifications through internal and external programs.
