ECS Limited seeks a qualified Construction Materials Testing Senior Field Technician I to join our Charleston team. You will collaborate with experienced project management professionals to safely perform field testing, sampling, and reporting across soils, aggregates, concrete, and related materials.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related field experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two advanced certifications per ECS Technician Certification Policy.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS.
• Excellent communication skills, dependable and detail-oriented.
• Ability to lift up to 85 lbs and operate field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, and related materials.
• Execute testing on moderate complexity projects with minimal supervision.
• Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Report changing site conditions and testing needs to supervisors.
• Prepare detailed daily field reports of site conditions and results.
• Perform calculations, data reduction, and documentation.
• Maintain and organize field equipment and testing materials.
• Assist in resolving field issues and support project execution.
• Train and mentor Technician I & II in field procedures.
• Participate in project meetings with senior staff.
• Perform other field and project support duties.
