Qualifications

• 2 years of related field experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Maintain basic certifications and two advanced certifications applicable to the work
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS
• Excellent communication skills
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Advanced knowledge of construction materials testing principles and standards
• Strong understanding of construction practices and jobsite operations
• Advanced proficiency with electronic devices and data systems
• Strong math and data reduction skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications
• Ability to work independently and lead small field efforts
• Ability to lift equipment and materials regularly (up to ~85 lbs)
• Must safely operate a motor vehicle and follow regulations

Responsibilities

• Perform field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils and related materials.
• Execute testing activities on moderately complex projects with minimal supervision.
• Communicate daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Report changing site conditions and testing needs to supervisors.
• Prepare accurate and detailed daily field reports documenting site conditions and results.
• Perform calculations and data reduction tasks.
• Maintain and organize field equipment and testing materials.
• Assist in resolving field-related issues and support project execution.
• Train Technician I and II in field procedures and documentation.
• Participate in project meetings with senior staff.
• Perform other field and project support duties as assigned

Responsibilities

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join our North Augusta team. In this role, you'll continue to collaborate and develop with experienced project management professionals to safely perform a variety of tasks in Field Services department.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materials
• Executes testing activities on projects of moderate complexity with minimal supervision
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors
• Prepares accurate and detailed daily field reports documenting site conditions and results
• Performs calculations, data reduction, and documentation tasks
• Maintains and organizes field equipment and testing materials
• Assists in resolving field-related issues and supports project execution
• Trains and mentors Technician I and Technician II staff in field procedures and documentation
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Maintain basic certifications and two advanced certifications applicable to the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy
  • General industry OSHA 10 may be required
• If driving for or on behalf of any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

• Strong understanding of construction practices and jobsite operations
