Intertek in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Senior Field Technician to perform testing, site observations, and data reporting in support of our Construction Materials Testing services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of materials testing experience required.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable driving record.
• Ability to work off shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift 30–50 lb frequently and over 50 lb with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and conduct soil, concrete, or other tests.
• Read and interpret plans, specs, and diagrams.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment.
• Perform complex assignments and detailed site observations.
• Maintain detailed test result documentation.
• Attend project meetings and communicate with clients.

Skills

5+ years materials testing experience

Lift/move 30-50 pounds

Overnight/overtime availability

Outdoor work in all weather

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

ACI Field / ATTI Field / ICC certifications
