Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction is seeking an Entry-Level Field Technician for construction materials testing in Chesapeake, VA. The role involves performing soil and concrete tests, site observations, and data reporting under supervision, with safety as a core focus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Overtime availability may be required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Basic math and calculator skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of testing, project-specific observations and site assessment duties under supervision.
• Operates testing equipment and conducts testing (soil, concrete, etc.) and reports data.
• Reads and follows drawings, specs and diagrams.
• Maintains detailed documentation and data from test results.
• Communicates effectively with clients and project teams.
• Adheres to safety policies to ensure personal and colleagues' safety.
