Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a Senior Field Technician to join our York team and advance in a dynamic work environment. Under guidance from experienced professionals, you will safely perform field testing and data collection on soils, aggregates, concrete, and related materials.

You will document findings, prepare field reports, and communicate site conditions daily with project teams. The role includes ongoing training and certification opportunities in collaboration with industry bodies.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Good math skills and ability to read maps and interpret plans.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic digital devices.
• Able to lift 40–70 lbs repeatedly and up to 85 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: observe, test, sample, and inspect materials on construction sites under supervision.
• Perform routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
• Collect data, perform calculations, and draft field reports documenting site observations.
• Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; attend project meetings as requested.
• Receive training in ECS methodology and document findings with engineering precision.
