Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician to join the Richmond team. You’ll perform field observations, testing, sampling, and inspections of soils, aggregates, concrete, and more on construction sites, under supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must maintain current basic level certifications and 2 advanced certifications.
• OSHA 10 is a plus.
• Ability to lift 40–70 lbs multiple times a day; occasional 85 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: observe, test, sample, and inspect materials on construction sites per project requirements.
• Testing Procedures: perform routine field tests using appropriate methods and equipment.
• Data Collection: calculate, reduce data, draft field reports documenting site observations.
• Communication: maintain updates with site contractors, technicians, and project managers; attend meetings.
• Training and Development: receive ECS training and document findings precisely.
