Job summary

ECS Limited is seeking a qualified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician I to join our Fort Wayne team. The role offers opportunities for professional development as you advance your skills and gain experience within our Field Services department.

You will perform field observations, testing, sampling, and inspections of soils, aggregates, concrete, and related materials, coordinating with project management and contractors to ensure quality and safety on every site.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Maintain basic certifications and two advanced certifications applicable to the work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy.
• General industry OSHA 10 may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs field observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, asphalt, structural steel, and related materials.
• Executes testing activities on projects of moderate complexity with minimal supervision.
• Communicates daily with contractors, technicians, and project managers.
• Reports changing site conditions and additional testing needs to supervisors.
• Prepares accurate and detailed daily field reports documenting site conditions and results.
• Performs calculations, data reduction, and documentation tasks.
• Maintains and organizes field equipment and testing materials.
• Assists in resolving field-related issues and supports project execution.
• Trains and mentors Technician I and Technician II staff in field procedures and documentation.
• Participates in project meetings with senior staff as requested.
• Performs other field and project support duties as assigned.
