Job summary

Supply Chain Resources Group (SCRG) seeks a Principal Systems Engineer to join the client’s U.S. engineering team in Dublin, CA.

This senior role involves troubleshooting electromechanical systems, leading cross-disciplinary collaboration, and driving reliability improvements across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software domains. You will work hands-on with prototype development, testing, and field deployments, traveling to client facilities and field sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Robotics, Controls, or a related field.
• 8+ years of engineering experience with complex electromechanical products, machinery, or equipment.
• Strong systems-level understanding of multidisciplinary physical products.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, sensors, motors, actuators, controls, embedded systems, and software-controlled equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software boundaries with strong root cause analysis.
• Experience developing, integrating, testing, or supporting physical hardware products.

Responsibilities

• Senior Technical Leadership: Serve as a senior individual contributor on the client's U.S. engineering team and mentor other engineers.
• Multidisciplinary Troubleshooting: Resolve complex equipment failures across mechanical, electrical, controls, sensor, and software domains.
• Root Cause Analysis: Lead and participate in root cause analysis for system-level issues.
• Systems Integration: Identify interactions between subsystems and provide input in design reviews.
• Prototype Development & Validation: Support development, testing, and validation on machines alongside engineers.
• Engineering Changes & Long-Term Fixes: Validate solutions under real operating conditions and translate fixes to long-term enhancements.
• Reliability & Serviceability: Improve machine performance, reliability, and serviceability.
• Field-to-Engineering Feedback: Travel to client sites and feed real-world learnings back into engineering.
• Documentation: Record findings, test results, root causes, and recommendations.
