Job summary
CSG Talent is seeking a Test Systems Engineer to design, commission and improve powertrain test rigs and supporting lab equipment in California. This onsite role will integrate electrical, mechanical and controls systems, driving automation and instrumentation to deliver safe, accurate, and repeatable testing across development and production environments.
The Senior or Staff level engineer will work with engineering and manufacturing teams, suppliers, and cross‑functional partners to translate
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience developing, commissioning or improving complex test systems.
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Controls Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience with Python, LabVIEW or PLCs for automation.
- Instrumentation, sensors and data acquisition experience.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, commission and improve powertrain test rigs and supporting laboratory equipment.
- Integrate electrical, mechanical, controls integration and laboratory automation.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver safe, accurate testing.
- Work with suppliers to translate requirements into practical test solutions.
