Job summary

Supply Chain Resources Group (SCRG) seeks a Staff Electrical Design Engineer to lead complex medical device electronics from concept through manufacturing transfer. You will drive board-level design, verification, and cross-functional collaboration with Systems, Mechanical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams.

The hybrid role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area with a move to Redwood City,CA, and includes mentoring junior engineers and supporting NPI programs.

Qualifications

• MSEE or BSEE with 10+ years of analog electronics design experience.
• Mixed-Signal & High-Voltage design experience for products with microprocessors, FPGAs, analog, and high-voltage electronics.
• Power electronics design experience, up to 2,000V and related PCB/FPC design practices.
• ECAD & layout using Altium, PADS, and adherence to PCB/FPC/rigid-flex standards.
• Bring-up, embedded debug, and ability to modify/compile C for hardware testing.
• Lifecycle management from concept to production, including DFM/DFT and vendor coordination.
• Familiarity with medical device standards and Class III QMS requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Board-level design: schematics, PCB layout for Class III products with sensitive analog circuits.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary projects and balance performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Develop and verify designs via bench tests, system integration, and fixtures; guide verification tests.
• Support EMC/EMI testing and IEC 60601 compliance activities.
• Qualify critical components and manage alternate supplier qualifications.
• Perform failure analysis and document investigations to support scale-up.
• Support manufacturing and NPI programs and vendor management.
• Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams; mentor junior engineers.
