Job summary

CDW is seeking a Consulting Managed Services Solution Architect (CMSA) to drive security-focused managed services opportunities in a field-based, pre-sales capacity. You will collaborate with customers, delivery, and sales teams to scope services, create compelling technical responses, and price offerings that align with business goals.

You will act as a trusted advisor, lead engagements across networking, cybersecurity, and cloud/infrastructure domains, and mentor peers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 8 years in technical, pre-sales, or post-sale delivery role. Or 12 years in technical, pre-sales, or post-sale delivery role.
• Deep industry knowledge and domain expertise in Managed Services, enterprise architecture, and technologies to tailor recommendations for clients.
• Experience across networking, cybersecurity, and cloud/infrastructure with ability to position scalable, secure architectures.

Responsibilities

• Develop assessment and service solutions for CDW customers with technical scoping and support for managed services offerings.
• Provide consultative guidance with customers, delivery teams, and internal sales to plan sales strategy and prepare quotations and technical responses for RFPs/RFQs/RFIs and SOWs.
• Price managed services opportunities to meet business goals and capture customer metrics to scope and price.
• Analyze technical and competitive considerations to meet customer goals and craft effective solutions.
• Maintain strategic relationships with customers, internal sales, and delivery management as a trusted advisor.
• Grow influence in assigned territory by engaging with partners, customers, and sales as a strategic advisor; operate at senior level for most offerings.
• Act as a subject matter expert in multiple product families and solutions across complex managed services offerings.
• Coordinate with delivery managers to deploy appropriate resources for engagements.
• Collaborate with technical delivery groups to compile technical analysis and financial data for new or revised offerings.
• Drive outreach, enablement projects, coaching, and mentoring for other MSAs, sales solutions, and field sellers.
• Mentor solution architects on best practices for stakeholder engagement.
• Acquire and maintain relevant technology and industry certifications as required.
