Job summary

ElDorado National California Inc is seeking a Field Service Technician III in San Francisco, CA to perform advanced diagnostics and lead service projects on transit vehicles. You will provide on-site and remote technical support, mentor junior technicians, and contribute to quality and continuous improvement efforts.

The role reports to HQ in Riverside and requires strong problem-solving, blueprint reading, and diagnostic software skills, with extensive travel (about 70%).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant service/repair experience in manufacturing or automotive settings.
• Expert knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diagnostic systems.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
• Lead complex service or repair projects with minimal supervision.
• Calibrate, repair, and maintain critical system components and safety equipment.
• Mentor and train junior service technicians.
• Provide remote and on-site technical assistance.
• Complete and review service documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, or OEM partners to resolve issues.
• Travel as required to client sites and company facilities (approx. 70%).
