Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician III to perform expert-level maintenance and repairs on complex aerospace & defense systems. You will independently manage field projects, diagnose challenging issues, and mentor junior technicians while developing advanced training for customers and internal teams.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, the ability to read schematics, and frequent travel to customer sites, including international locations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; higher degree can substitute for experience.
• Progressive troubleshooting experience with complex aerospace/defense systems.
• Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints and manuals.
• Willingness to travel outside the continental US for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert-level maintenance and repairs on complex aerospace and defense systems.
• Independently manage field service projects to ensure timely completion.
• Diagnose and resolve the most challenging technical issues.
• Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing technical guidance.
• Develop and deliver advanced training programs for customers and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate records of field activities and equipment status.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Travel extensively to customer sites, potentially internationally.
