Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Field Service Technician II in our Specialized Field Services group to perform testing, maintenance, and repair of low and medium voltage equipment in shop and in the field.

The role requires 2–5 years of power systems testing experience, strong ability to read schematics, and proven problem-solving skills. A High School Diploma is required, with a preference for EPC or ABET-aligned engineering training. Valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ related experience in commercial and industrial maintenance.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems testing.
• Ability to read and follow written or oral instructions; solve problems with multiple variables.

Responsibilities

• Test LV/MV breakers using Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and timing tests.
• Carry out mechanical repairs on breakers and switches, including teardown and refurbishment.
• Wiring circuit breakers.
• Read and interpret schematics and wiring drawings.
• Troubleshoot circuit breaker controls.
• Plot time-current curves and test transformers (Power Factor, TTR).
• Document results accurately in Power DB.
• Use electrical tools and socket sets safely.
