Job summary

Qualus Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician II to perform testing, maintenance, and repair of low and medium voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, and motor control equipment in both shop and field settings.

The role involves reading schematics, troubleshooting controls, wiring breakers, and documenting tests with Power DB. Candidates need 2–5 years of relevant experience and a valid driver’s license for field assignments in Kentucky and beyond.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Prefer an Associate’s degree in Electrical Power & Controls or an Electrical Engineering degree.
• 2–5 years of related experience in industrial maintenance.
• 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing on low and medium voltage breakers (Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, Timing).
• Carry out mechanical repairs and refurbishments on breakers and switches.
• Wire circuit breakers and troubleshoot controls.
• Read schematics and wiring diagrams; read and plot time-current curves.
• Document results accurately using Power DB; operate electrical tools safely.
