GE Vernova seeks an experienced Field Services Technician to lead on-site installation, startup, commissioning and maintenance at customer facilities. The role requires troubleshooting, planning, and coordination with management and crews to deliver high-quality service.

You will prepare outage scope documents, manage costs, and maintain strict safety standards while collaborating with engineering and field teams across multiple sites. Strong English and reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• HV electrical experience with appropriate qualifications.
• Experience leading field service teams.
• Familiar with test equipment and testing procedures.
• Computer literate with MS Office, Project and Access.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to travel and flexible for field assignments.
• Ability to write technical reports and document work.

Responsibilities

• Provide on site technical direction and leadership during installation, startup, commissioning and maintenance.
• Prepare job planning documents defining scope for outages with engineering instructions.
• Lead skilled labor on customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on transformers, switchgear, relays, control systems, turbines, motors and generators.
• Perform administrative tasks including reports, quotations, time and expense sheets.
• Ensure costs are controlled and safety standards are met.
