Job summary

Advanced Technology Services (ATS) seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform expert break-fix and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment across multiple sites. The role requires diagnosing complex electrical and mechanical issues, sourcing replacement parts, and improving equipment reliability.

The position involves extensive travel within the continental United States and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree with technical focus or 12+ years of related experience; or 15+ years in the industry.
Comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
Ability to use basic hand tools and specialized tools; plus programming software as appropriate.
Extensive travel required (local and/or national).

Responsibilities

Performs expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance; observes operation to identify root causes; disassembles devices to access parts.
Identifies and sources parts and repair items; evaluates alternatives to improve cost or reliability.
Independently performs maintenance per industry standards and creates maintenance standards/instructions.
Directs customer counterparts in maintenance optimization and preventative maintenance processes.
Operates multiple machining operations (lathe, drill press, grinder) and may perform welding.
Follows safety policies and maintains situational awareness of hazards.
Documents work in service reports and manuals; provides training and mentorship to others.
