Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to serve clients in the West Chester, Ohio area. You will expand on Level I duties by configuring and programming devices, overseeing system commissioning, and delivering basic customer training.

You’ll lead installation teams, mentor Level 1 technicians, and coordinate with project staff to ensure quality installations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in construction trades
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high/low voltage)
• Hands-on/field experience
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, VoIP)
• Ability to read architectural drawings
• Team management/supervisor experience
• Experience with service ticketing processes
• 1+ year of experience with fire, CCTV, intrusion or nurse call systems
• Excellent communication skills
• US Driver’s license in good standing

Responsibilities

• Execute Level I installer roles with our documentation to uphold high installation standards
• Manage project/service tickets with timely updates aligning with assignments
• Own tasks with accountability and deliver high-quality results
• Lead a team by delegating tasks and fostering collaboration
• Mentor Level 1 installers and solicit feedback for improvement
• Communicate effectively with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers
• Work with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems on projects
• Pursue leadership and communication skill development
• Perform FAT tests on products before installation
• Configure and commission systems to deliver reliable, ready-to-use solutions
• Accept additional duties as needed
