K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician Level II to join our team serving clients in the West Chester, Ohio area. The role requires advancing from Level I duties and leading installation teams, with hands-on configuring, programming, and system commissioning across nurse call, access, and video surveillance projects.

The position emphasizes customer training at a basic operations level, ongoing professional development, and strong communication with project stakeholders to ensure

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a construction trade.
• Advanced knowledge of electricity (high/low voltage).
• Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, computers, VoIP).
• Ability to identify and use common low voltage cabling.
• Working knowledge of IT networking, configurations and IP addressing.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management / supervisory experience.
• Experience completing projects within scope.
• Experience with service ticketing processes.
• Knowledge of fire, CCTV, intrusion, emergency nurse call systems (1+ year).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have valid US Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Execute all Level I installer roles and responsibilities, following documentation to uphold high installation/service standards.
• Demonstrate strong organization in handling project and service tickets with prompt updates.
• Understand project scopes and service expectations; take accountability for tasks and deliver results.
• Assume leadership by delegating tasks within the team’s capabilities; foster collaboration.
• Mentor Level 1 installers when leading a team and seek feedback for improvement.
• Maintain regular communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers as needed.
• Showcase expertise with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems.
• Pursue ongoing development, focusing on leadership and communication skills.
• Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) of products before installation to ensure quality and performance.
• Configure and commission systems to deliver reliable, fully operational solutions.
• Willingly take additional duties as needed.
