Job summary

HIAB USA in Middleton, MA seeks a skilled Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of lifting equipment. You will operate at Hiab locations, following Manager instructions to ensure reliability and safety.

Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma, a valid driver’s license, and 3+ years in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Tools are personal; the role offers career growth, benefits, and a strong team environment.

Qualifications

DOT Medical Card required or obtainable prior to start.
Valid Driver's License is mandatory.
Single moving violation in last year, or two in two years, will be reviewed.
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum 3 years in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
Candidates must bring own tools.
Adherence to Hiab procedures and workplace instructions.

Responsibilities

Inspect, service, and troubleshoot forklifts and related equipment per manager's instructions.
Follow safety rules, working practices, and environmental requirements.
Stay current with internal service bulletins and complete required courses.
Address customer inquiries to maximize satisfaction per guidelines.
Maintain records and submit daily reports as required.
Identify sales opportunities and alert the District Service Manager.
Coach junior colleagues and trainees as needed.
Represent Hiab brand positively and follow the Quality System.
