Job summary

ORR Protection is seeking a Field Service Technician Level III to join our national team. You will service and program fire alarm and suppression systems, lead field teams, and coordinate with customers to ensure reliable, code-compliant operations across large sites.

This remote-based role is deployed from home to local job sites with up to 25% travel. We provide a company vehicle and tools, comprehensive training, and opportunities for growth within a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least five years' experience servicing electrical/mechanical systems in fire alarm/special hazard.
• Experience reading blueprints required.
• Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Experience with Siemens, Notifier, Kidde, Fenwal, Fike, FCI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead major service activity.
• Perform service on the majority of OPS System brands and applications.
• Contact customer to set up service.
• Perform all inspection and testing tasks on fire alarm and special hazard fire suppression systems according to OPS work instructions.
• Record inspection and test results in companies' electronic inspection program.
• Respond to emergency service requests and take appropriate action.
• Perform in depth trouble shooting, repair and replacement of system equipment.
• Oversee OPS personnel in coordination of service activities.
• Review inspection and test results with the customer.
• Conduct training with customer on the functionality of the fire system.
• Assist in installation and commissioning tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
