Job summary
ORR Protection seeks a Field Service Technician - Level II to join our Houston area team. You will be trained on leading fire alarm systems and fire suppression equipment, delivering service and support for major clients.
The role covers installation, inspection, testing, and on-call responses with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability. The ideal candidate has two years of experience with fire alarm systems, a FEL-A license, blueprints reading skills, and a proactive customer service
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Two years' experience servicing fire alarm and special hazard systems.
- Experience reading blueprints.
- FEL-A license is required.
- NICET II certification and Associate degree preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide service setup and scheduling with customers.
- Inspect and test fire alarm and fire suppression systems per instructions.
- Record results in the electronic inspection program.
- Respond to emergency service requests and take action.
- Troubleshoot, repair and replace system equipment as needed.
- Oversee OPS personnel coordinating service activities.
- Review results with customers and document outcomes.
- Train customers on fire system functionality.
- Assist in installation and commissioning tasks under supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
