Job summary

ORR Protection in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Fire Alarm Field Service Technician Apprentice to join our team and grow into a skilled technician. You will receive formal training and hands-on field experience while supporting the service and installation of fire alarm systems.

This role is remote-friendly, deployed to local sites, with occasional overtime and travel; you will learn under supervision and contribute to protecting people and property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or certification in low-voltage electricity or related field preferred.
• Military fire protection experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection and testing tasks according to OPS work instructions (smoke detectors, manual pull stations, other I/O, AV components).
• Assist in installation and commissioning tasks with supervision.
• Other duties as assigned.
