Job summary

Industrial Electric Manufacturing (IEM) is seeking a Field Service Technician Level III to perform advanced start-up, commissioning, testing, and repair of IEM equipment at customer sites. You will resolve complex issues, support critical customer engagements, and mentor junior technicians while working with internal teams to drive timely resolutions.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in power distribution; preferred.
• 3+ years of field service experience in electrical/mechanical environments.
• 2+ years on switchgear start-up, commissioning, or related field service work preferred.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform advanced start-up, commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, service, and repair of IEM equipment.
• Install/modify/inspect electrical or mechanical components and subassemblies.
• Lead or support complex field service activities for high-priority issues.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with contractors, clients, PMs, and internal teams.
• Analyze system failures, identify root causes, and determine corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control wiring, networking, and related field issues.
• Document service activities, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and follow-up.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Level I/II technicians.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
