Job summary

Kodiak Gas Services is seeking a senior Field Technician to lead and mentor the team in one or more compressor and gas process jobs. The role requires expert diagnostic skills, the ability to backfill Area Manager, and strong problem solving in a high‑demand field environment.

You will ensure safety, quality, and reliability while maintaining unit readiness and supporting scheduling and budgets for the area. Onsite work is required across multiple shifts and on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred 5+ years in related field/industry.
• Completion of Kodiak’s SSE program and experience in intermediate Field Technician role.
• Deep knowledge of gas processes and compressor mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates field activities with Kodiak procedures and goals.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to Field Service Technicians.
• Troubleshoot complex repairs and major equipment overhauls.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues.
• Maintain customer relationships and communicate needs to Area Manager.
• Support planning and budgeting for area operations.
