Job summary

ABB in the United States is seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to deliver high-quality technical support and service, including installations, maintenance, and repairs on power delivery equipment. The role offers a remote work model with significant field travel to customer sites, aiming to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

The position reports to the Area Field Services Manager and requires hands-on project work, safety compliance, and cost-conscious administration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with a minimum of 8 years of engineering / field experience.
• Technical skills in testing of power distribution and delivery to include LV and MV breakers, switchgear, relays and transformers.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 70+% as required.
• Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Safety & Compliance: Follow ABB policies and safety standards.
• Technical Execution & Expertise: Perform hands-on project work across power delivery equipment.
• Quality & Customer Satisfaction: Improve installation and field service standards and customer satisfaction.
• Administrative & Cost Management: Complete technical reports, job status updates, and cost control tasks.
