Job summary

Signode Industrial Group in Lebanon, IN seeks an experienced field service technician to install and service general-purpose equipment across industrial packaging lines. You will travel daily, often overnight, to customer sites, perform diagnostics, and train Signode technicians on equipment operation.

Candidates should have 4–5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics, and be able to read schematics.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of transferable experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• PLC background.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Desirable: professional courses in electrical, mechanical, or automation.

Responsibilities

• Based in Lebanon, IN, travel daily by auto with overnight stays.
• Document service activities and expenses accurately.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics for installations.
• Provide technical support and training to Signode technicians.
• Manage service call schedules for accuracy and completion.
• Coordinate pre-installation meetings with customers.
• Identify upgrade opportunities and assist in quotations.
• Test and adjust equipment to proper operation.
• Maintain customer relationships with clear communication.
