Job summary

Signode Industrial Group, LLC seeks a field service technician to install, service, and train on general-purpose equipment across industrial sites. The role involves frequent auto travel with overnight stays, interpreting blueprints and performing diagnostics on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

The position requires 4–5 years of related experience, a high school diploma or technical degree, and proficiency with PLCs and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of transferable experience.
• Experience working on Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics and Hydraulics systems.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• PLC background.
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
• Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Desirable: Professional course (electrical or mechanical or automation courses).

Responsibilities

• Install and provide on-demand/scheduled service for all general-purpose equipment.
• Travel daily by auto with frequent overnight stays.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics for installation, repair, and upgrades.
• Provide technical support and training to Signode Technicians.
• Document daily service activities and expenses.
• Identify upgrade and retrofit opportunities and assist in quotation proposals.
• Coordinate pre-installation meetings with customers to review procedures and responsibilities.
