Job summary

Signode is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician in the Akron, OH area. You will install and service a broad range of general-purpose equipment and support customers on-site with travel, including overnight stays.

The role requires reading blueprints, troubleshooting PLCs, and coordinating with Signode technicians. Responsibilities include daily safety compliance, documentation of service activities, and providing technical guidance to customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of transferable field service experience.
• Experience on Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics systems.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• PLC background; Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and service a wide variety of general-purpose equipment.
• Travel daily by auto with overnight stays; drive time 1–6 hours.
• Read blueprints and schematics for installation, repair, retrofits.
• Provide technical support and training to Signode technicians.
• Maintain safety regulations and document activities.
