Job summary

Signode Industrial Group in Portland, ME seeks an on-site Field Service Technician to install, service and train customers on industrial packaging equipment. You will travel daily with regular overnight stays, and you will document work orders and calibrate systems to meet required specifications.

You should have 4–5 years of related experience, PLC knowledge, and track record with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of transferable experience.
• Experience working on Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics, and Hydraulics systems.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• PLC background.
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)

Responsibilities

• Perform daily tasks in accordance with safety regulations and protocols.
• Document daily service activities and expenses accurately.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic functions.
• Coordinate pre-installation meetings with customers and inspect sites for compatibility.
• Provide technical support and training to Signode Technicians.
• Manage service calls and test equipment after installations
