Job summary

Gold Coast JCB, a JCB authorized dealer in Southeast FL, seeks a Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain heavy machinery and related equipment at customer sites and on location in Medley, FL. You will focus on uptime and customer service, traveling to jobs as needed.

The role requires 10+ years in the field, bilingual English/Spanish, strong communication and computer skills, and the ability to travel; safety and quality are emphasized. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• College degree in Diesel or technical field; equivalents considered.
• 10+ years in service technician or similar role in heavy machinery/truck/diesel engine industries.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Knowledge of heavy machinery, trucks or diesel engines.
• Strong computer skills for diagnostics and reporting.
• Ability to travel.
• Must pass drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment tests.

Responsibilities

• Drive to and from customer jobsites or facilities on a service truck to perform field services.
• Complete and submit time and work reports with clear notes.
• Provide diagnostic analysis, repair or preventive maintenance for customer and company machines.
• Assist and work with other technicians on complex jobs.
• Mentor, teach and advise other technicians.
• Complete in-shop or on-site system audits and evaluations on machines.
• Support customers' product clinics, field days and related events.
• Maintain a valid Florida driver’s license appropriate to the position.
• Review work orders for completeness and billing purposes.
• Keep department tools, equipment and vehicles in good working condition.
• Follow safety policies and maintain professional image.
