Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair UPS and power systems at client sites across the United States. This role involves 70% travel and requires independence and strong safety focus.

You will be the on-site technical expert, building client relationships and ensuring critical power equipment runs reliably. Requirements include 4+ years in UPS/power equipment, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years working with UPS, generators, MV/LV switchgear, or similar power equipment.
• Industry background in datacenters, power generation, utilities, oil & gas, or energy sectors.
• Driver's license with clean driving record.
• Strong customer interaction and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field activities and manage installation, calibration, maintenance, and emergency repairs on UPS and MV/LV equipment.
• Troubleshoot breakers, switches, wiring, and control panels; perform root-cause analysis on complex electrical failures.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Engineering, Production, and Sales for service estimates and parts.
• Mentor junior technicians and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• On-site startup or commissioning of company equipment; conduct IST and ensure standards compliance.
• Provide on-site technical expertise and build long-term client relationships.
