Job summary

Mission Critical Group (MCG) is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, diagnose, and repair UPS, MV/LV power systems at US client sites. The role requires 90% travel and operates with a high degree of independence.

You will combine UPS and electrical experience with strong customer communication, safety focus, and problem-solving, while supporting on-site startup, IST, and service planning with engineering and project teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2+ years working with UPS, generators, MV/LV switchgear, or similar power equipment.
• Datacenters, power generation, utilities, oil & gas, marine, or energy sectors experience preferred.
• Proficient with multimeters, hand tools, wiring equipment, and soldering.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required for travel).
• Strong customer interaction and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, perform preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on UPS and MV/LV power distribution equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair breakers, shutdown switches, wiring harnesses, alternators, UPS, battery systems, and control panels; perform on-site IST.
• Build long-term client relationships and educate customers on maintenance best practices.
