Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Field Service Mechanic A in Memphis, TN to lead fleet maintenance and repairs at customer job sites. You will perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and on-site repairs to keep equipment ready for rental returns.

The role requires mastery of electrical, hydraulic, propane, and fuel systems, with strong mentorship duties and effective communication with customers and shop leads.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to obtain DQF.
• Ownership of hand and air/electric tools to complete repairs.
• Ability to drive/operate multiple vehicle types and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet maintenance and repair operations at customer job sites.
• Maintain PM schedules for active Herc-owned fleet.
• Produce detailed service reports and repair logs per visit.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, propane, and fuel systems on-site.
