Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Field Service Mechanic A to lead fleet maintenance and repairs at customer job sites. You will diagnose engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, perform preventive maintenance, and act as a mentor to B/C level techs while ensuring safety and quality standards.

This role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate a service truck outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools and fleet management systems.
• Demonstrated mastery of Field Service Mechanic B and C-level tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet maintenance and repair operations at customer job sites.
• Maintain PM schedules for active fleet at job sites.
• Diagnose engines, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems onsite.
• Repair using electrical schematics and diagnose control modules.
• Assist shop lead with damage estimates, repairs, and documentation.
