Herc Rentals is seeking a skilled Mechanic A in Memphis, TN to lead fleet maintenance and ensure equipment remains rental-ready. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and complex repairs while mentoring junior technicians.

The role requires mastery of electrical, hydraulic, and fuel systems, the use of diagnostic tools, and strong documentation of service activities. Excellent teamwork and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate and test equipment such as boom lifts, forklifts, compressors, generators.
• Proficiency with computerized diagnostic tools and fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet maintenance operations to keep equipment on the rental ready line.
• Perform preventative maintenance, oil changes, lubrication, and repairs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, propane, and fuel systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and calibrate mechanical and electrical issues.
• Provide timely service reports and repair logs.
• Mentor Mechanic B and C level technicians.
