Job summary

UNITED MACHINING is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer in Austin, TX to install and service precision machining equipment and associated products. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, identify problems early in the product life cycle, and liaise with Applications to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering with 6+ years' experience in manufacturing or machine tool industry.
• Experience with test equipment and EDM and/or Milling machines.

Responsibilities

• Perform the installation and service of machines and associated products and equipment.
• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks with minimum technical assistance as per documentation.
• Identify problems and seek corrective action during early product life cycle.
• Analyze and resolve application problems and liaise with Applications on more complex issues to increase knowledge.
• Resolve machining problems by analyzing regular test cuts as per documentation.
