Job summary

ABB in Vancouver WA seeks a field service professional to execute high-complexity power delivery projects remotely. You will troubleshoot, commission, and repair electrical infrastructure, leading outages and coordinating with engineers and contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role emphasizes on-site leadership, technical diagnostics, and reporting, with travel up to 75% domestically and a focus on ABB equipment and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years relevant experience.
• Technical skills in testing of power distribution and delivery to include LV and MV Breakers, Switchgear, Relays and Transformers.
• Experience in repair/refurbishment of LV and MV circuit breakers (OEM equipment).
• Experience in testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage machines and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment.
• Lead outages with field engineers, technicians, and contractors; manage site activities and prepare technical reports.
• Plan and perform field assignments; direct work of other engineers and craft labor.
• Develop and expand technical knowledge; prepare internal/external training as required.
• Complete administrative tasks: time sheets, expense sheets, quotations, and job status reports.
