Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Engineer to execute medium to high complexity service work per ABB guidelines. The role offers a remote work model with emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service and identifying opportunities to improve system performance and operational reliability.

You will lead outages, perform startups, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of Power Delivery equipment, coordinating with field engineers and contractors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years relevant field engineering experience.
• Experience testing and refurbishing LV/MV circuit breakers and related equipment.
• Experience testing, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting of medium voltage systems and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, engineering, design, and repair of Power Delivery equipment.
• Lead outages with field engineers, technicians, and contractors; manage site communications and reports.
• Plan and perform multifunctional field assignments and supervise craft labor as required.
• Develop and expand technical knowledge to current industry standards.
