Job summary

Sony Electronics Inc. is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to install, diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair complex equipment and systems.

The role requires understanding production processes to identify failures and provide effective rectification, with moderate supervision and collaboration across engineering, sales and marketing. The candidate will build strong customer relationships, provide regular technical support, and ensure operational maintenance of systems while traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or science field is required or equivalent.
• Must have 4 years of related engineering experience.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communications.
• The flexibility is required for extensive travel domestic and/or International.
• Available to work overtime and weekends when required.
• Excellent relationship building skills, customer complaint resolution, and record-keeping are essential.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical and customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Understand the production process to identify how the product/equipment may have failed and rectify as appropriate.
• Develop close working relationships with customers to provide regular technical support and operation and maintenance of the system.
• Coordinate with engineering, sales, and marketing to ensure customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution.
