Job summary

ASM is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer I to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair advanced semiconductor capital equipment. You will be the technical expert in the field, delivering exceptional service while ensuring equipment performance, reliability, and safety, with opportunities to work with cutting-edge technology and global teams.

This role requires hands-on installation, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and collaboration with engineering and customer teams, plus travel

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of field service or customer-facing technical support for complex capital equipment.
Strong troubleshooting with microprocessor-controlled electro-mechanical systems.
Ability to read electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical schematics.
Experience with equipment installations and preventive maintenance.
Proficient with office software and technical reporting.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Install, startup, qualify, maintain, and repair complex semiconductor capital equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, vacuum, and software issues.
Provide timely technical support and ensure high equipment uptime.
Interpret schematics and drawings to diagnose issues.
Support equipment upgrades and process improvements.
Document service actions and findings accurately.
Collaborate with engineering and customer teams.
Deliver technical training to customers as needed.
Maintain safety and compliance in manufacturing environments.
Travel domestically and internationally to support customers.
