Job summary

Pace Analytical Services, LLC in Attleboro, MA, seeks an experienced instrument technician to execute maintenance and qualification testing of analytical instruments including HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS and LC/MS/MS.

The role entails advanced diagnostics, calibration, SOP creation, and collaboration with customers and staff, with overnight travel up to 50% depending on location and a comprehensive benefits program.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, electronics, or a closely related field with eight years of instrument troubleshooting/repair experience, or an equivalent combination.
Advanced to expert knowledge of HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS and LC/MS/MS.
Experience diagnosing and solving instrument problems and calibrating instruments.

Responsibilities

Provides advanced to expert maintenance, diagnosis and repairs of HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS.
Provides calibration and qualification of HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS.
Recommends and implements improvements to HPLC, UPLC, LC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS systems.
Drafts and revises SOPs, calibration procedures, and qualification protocols.
Oversees inventory of consumables and repair parts for instruments.
