Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a results-driven Senior Sales Specialist for Materials Characterization to drive volume sales and market expansion of Molecular Spectroscopy and Thermal Analysis instruments across IL, WI and KY. This field remote role requires a technically skilled professional with a background in materials science or chemistry.

You will prospect, manage accounts, present capabilities, and collaborate with regional teams to meet strategic objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or graduate degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field.
Experience in scientific instrumentation and capital equipment sales.
Willingness to travel up to 60% and reside within the territory.

Responsibilities

Grow Sales Volume.
Execute a sales plan that aligns with region and company objectives; manage current customers and identify new accounts; participate in trade shows and improve market share and profitability.
Develop and implement business plans with territory management; present technical information, identify customer needs, and promote PerkinElmer support services; maintain CRM data and forecast funnels.
Cultivate partnerships with customers and suppliers; recommend solutions based on product knowledge and market dynamics; maintain technical selling capabilities for consultative sales.
Teamwork: work with regional sales, service teams, product specialists and business units to deliver high levels of customer service; provide local support for events.
