Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Senior Risk Control Consultant in Morristown, NJ. You will provide account knowledge on hazards, controls, and management, evaluating how companies identify inherent risks and differentiating accounts within complex portfolios.

You will spend 20–50% of time onsite with clients, partnering with Underwriting to retain and grow profitable business, and delivering in-depth risk assessments and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Seven years of experience in safety, risk control/management or related field.
• Certification to meet state-specific requirements, where applicable.
• Valid driver's license.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance industry and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a field presence with 20–50% onsite visits.
• Partner with Underwriting to grow a profitable book of business.
• Build relationships with Underwriting, Claim, Risk Control, and Brokers.
• Perform risk assessments for highly complex accounts (manufacturing, large warehouses, multi-location).
• Write technical risk assessment reports with clear recommendations.
• Identify exposures and provide risk mitigation solutions.
